AUTHOR VISITS FOR YEARS 3-6
An author visit encourages children to read and to write their own stories.
- An entertaining and interractive talk with photographs and illustrations. I’ll talk about how I get my ideas, how stories are plotted, and about reading and writing generally.
- Free workbooks for teachers, containing guided reading questions and activities.
- A Q&A session.
- Book signing, by arrangement.
“It was lovely to have a book that they actually wanted to read and enjoyed enough to read ahead!” - review by a teacher on Amazon
“My class of Year 4 children loved this book, as did I. It actually expected children to think about what the book was really about, and I think that this elevates it to a higher status in my eyes.” - Amazon review
“They all left the library buzzing with excitement and many of them have been back to borrow your books (and others!).” Gareth Edwards, Flintshire Libraries
"…pitched at exactly the correct level.” Nicola Austen, Deputy Head, Bank Leaze Primary School
